From Desk Job to Dream Job: My Creative Journey

I started this business in the fall of 2023 after deciding to quit my 9-to-5 office job. I was miserable; I hated being cooped up in an office building all day with my head in front of a computer screen. I thought to myself, 'Wow, at the end of the day, none of the work I do here really matters.' I needed more.
I have always been creative, always jumping from one crafting project to the next. I have refurbished furniture, made wall art, painted canvas, blended essential oil perfumes—you name it. When I was a kid, I used to go over to my grandma's house in the summers, and we would do the strangest arts and crafts projects. I don't think I would be the creative person I am if it weren't for that.
Flash forward to 2023: I had just graduated college, and I had NO IDEA what I was going to do. I didn't want to be working at an office anymore, and I swear I had gone through the list of careers a million times. I didn't want to do any of them. I knew I had wanted my own business since I was a kid; I just wasn't sure what it was going to be!
I randomly started making earrings after watching a TikTok video and thinking to myself, 'Well, I can do that.' I went to Walmart, got some cheap pliers and wire, and started going for it. I would create different designs on my lunch breaks in my car. It brought me purpose at a time I needed it most. I knew I wanted to do this forever.
I had found my business idea, the one I had been searching for as a teenager. I had found my truth (Satya). Satya means being truthful in every part of your life: your words, actions, values. This was something that spoke to me; I knew I could not fake a life of boring office jobs (even though that would be the easier option). It was not who I was or wanted to be. I knew in order to be happy, I needed to live my Satya and have faith I would bloom into the woman I knew I could be. Satya Bloom.
